Hennes Fischer is Senior Advisor at Yamaha Motor Europe and works with the Connected Motorcycle Consortium (CMC). He represents Yamaha at ACEM in Brussels and in several industry consortia, working on intelligent transport systems (ITS) and vehicle safety.
He studied mechanical engineering and trained as a journalist, working for a daily newspaper in southern Germany and editing two German motoring magazines. He joined Yamaha Motor Europe in the mid-1980s, working on global product planning and R&D.
A former road racer, he competed in German and European championships and set two speed records in 1981. Today he enjoys historic racing bikes and touring.
